This is the second time the festival will be held in Rome, Italy, with an aim of promoting Vietnamese culture to Italian people. The first festival entitled “Dragon and Butterfly 1” was held in 2006 and achieved significant results.
This year’s festival will last for over one month with a wide range of activities such as photo exhibition, music performance, seminar on Vietnam’s politic and economic situation, fashion show and cookery training courses for overseas Vietnamese people in Italy.
On May 26, a music performance will be held in Auditorium, Via della Concilliazione with the participation of renowned singer Paola Turic and dancer Giorgio Rossi to raise funds for Vietnam.
On July 7, a fashion show of Vietnamese designer Minh Hanh will take place at Palazzo, Rome. A photo exhibition entitled “Objective Vietnam” displaying photos taken by four Vietnamese photographers Long Thanh, Duong Minh Long, Hoang Xuan Lam and Hai Dong will be held at the Palazzo Museum from June 12 to July 15.
