The Ministry of Education and Training of New South Wales has presented an award worth AUD5,000 to a Vietnamese student Nguyen Huy Long who earned the highest mark (99.85 points) in academic record at Ashfield Boys High.

It also praised two Vietnamese students with academic excellence and two other students for their outstanding contributions to the school.

Mark Howland, director of International Relations under New South Wales Department of Education and Training said that Australia’s vocational education and training system has developed well, enabling students to pursue higher education at colleges and universities and making it easier for them to find a job after graduation.

Currently, New South Wales hosts 3,700 international students including 497 Vietnamese.
