Greek President Karolos Papoulias said he was deeply impressed by Vietnam's dynamic development, while receiving Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Van Nam in Athens recently.

The President expressed his admiration of Vietnamese people’s patriotism and determination to defend independence, freedom and national unity in history. He also said he wished to visit Vietnam during his working term.

Ambassador Nam, who presented his credentials to the Greek President, expressed Vietnam's wish to boost the friendship and co-operation in economics, trade and investment with Greece, especially in fields of Greek strengths such as shipbuilding, tourism, construction material production, trade, cultural heritage preservation and training.
