During his meeting with South Africa’s Ambassador Ratubatsi Super Moloi, the legislative leader said although Vietnam and South Africa are geographically distant from each other, the two countries have similarities and potential that can complement each other for mutual development.

He expressed his hope that the South African ambassador would make active contribution to boosting economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries as well as enhancing relations between the two legislative bodies.

While meeting with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Ambassador Mark Kent, Chairman Trong said he was delighted at the development of the Vietnam-UK relations, particularly in economics, trade, investment and education.

The chairman thanked the UK Government and people for their official development aid for Vietnam and their contributions to socio-economic development and poverty reduction in the Southeast Asian country.

The Vietnamese National Assembly wants to exchange experiences with parliaments ò foreign countries, including the UK, Mr Trong added.
