Ministry of Culture holds meeting on archive of poems in tribute to HM the late King

The Ministry of Culture has held a meeting to follow up on the collection of poems and articles to be assembled in a tribute to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Minister of Culture Weera Rojpojanarat led the meeting, which discussed the archiving of poems and writings on His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej in an effort to retain the Thai public’s appreciation towards the monarch.

The meeting assembled esteemed poets and linguists such as MR Sorachat Songthong, Chamaiporn Bangkombang and Somyos Saengsuwan, who were asked for their insight.

The Fine Arts Department’s office of literature and history is working with the Ministry of Culture’s information and communication technology center to complete the archive. They have so far assembled 12,568 messages of condolence, 417 poems and 110 songs to be whittled down for the archive.
