The festival presented an overview of friendship activities launched by the two countries during the Vietnam-China Friendship Year 2010 as well as the initiatives for the propaganda and education on the traditional friendship between the two countries.

In her speech, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, Tong Thi Phong said that a variety of events was launched during the friendship year which contributed to strengthening the Vietnam-China time-honoured fraternal friendship fostered by President Ho Chi Minh and Chinese President Mao Zedong along with revolutionary generations.

Mrs Phong praised the significance of the festival, describing it as a positive contribution to promoting the future development of bilateral relations.

On this occasion, the Vietnam-China Friendship Association presented five first prizes and 10 second prizes to collectives and individuals joining the recent contest on Vietnam-China relations.
