Vietnam always opens its doors to French investors, affirmed Vietnamese Minister Counsellor in France, Nguyen Van Doat at a seminar on Vietnam held in Toulouse, southern France over the weekend.

The seminar was co-organised by the chambers of commerce and industry of Midi-Pyrenee region and Toulouse city as well as the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam.

The seminar aimed to help enterprises in the Midi-Pyrenee region to learn about Vietnam’s investment policies as well as the cooperation potential between Vietnam and France in the fields of economics and trade.

At the seminar, President of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry Marc Villard highlighted economic and trade ties between Vietnam and France. With a population of more than 84 million, a stable economic growth rate and rapid integration into the global economy, Vietnam is becoming an attractive location for foreign investors, emphasised Mr Villard. In addition, with a strategically geographical location and an important role among ASEAN countries, Vietnam will be the gateway to foreign investors who want to penetrate the regional market.

On the occasion, a representative from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Midi-Pyrenee region gave a brief introduction about an ASEAN business forum, which will be held in Hanoi on November 22-23. This will offer a good opportunity for French enterprises to learn more about Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.
