The host country Vietnam grabbed a total of 26 gold medals in the Vietnamese Open International Teakwondo Championships held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 21-23.

The Vietnam 2 team led the medal tally with 15 golds, 7 silvers and 13 bronzes with 7 champion titles from performance events, followed by the Vietnam 1 bagging 11 golds, 4 silvers and 4 bronzes.

Young martial artists from the Republic of Korea showed their impressive performance in the combat events to rank third with a total of 5 golds, 6 silvers and 14 bronzes.

After the tournament, the 2nd Asian International Teakwondo Federation (ITF) Championships, will is taking place in Ho Chi Minh City on July 23-25.
