The southwestern province of An Giang has so far exported over 70 tonnes of assorted vegetables a day to Cambodia, hitting an all time high, while importing some 90 tonnes of rice from the neighbouring country.

The border district of An Phu alone which accounts for half of the province's vegetable exports to Cambodia earns some VND300 million a year, considering vegetable exports a major source of income.

The Mekong Delta's trading in rice with Cambodia is booming with its imports reaching over 2,000 tonnes a day.
