Communist Party of Vietnam General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and Communist Party of Brazil (CPB) President Renato Rabelo have pledged to boost bilateral relations.

During their meeting in Hanoi on May 8, CPB President Rabelo praised the great achievements of the Vietnamese people under the leadership of the CPV in the renewal process.

He said he will do his utmost to strengthen and develop the friendship and cooperation between the two Parties, Governments and peoples.

CPV General Secretary Manh thanked the Brazilian communists and people for the strong support and sentiments they have given to Vietnam in its past struggle for national salvation and its current socio-economic development.

He also praised the results of freshly-concluded talks between the two communist parties.

“The CPV respects and works hard to strengthen and boost traditional relations between the two parties and peoples,” Mr Manh said.

Earlier, the Brazilian communist delegation held talks with a CPV delegation led by To Huy Rua, its Central Committee Secretary and Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education.

Host and guest also focused on concrete measures to boost the friendship and cooperation between the two Parties.
