The Vientiane Business and Society newspaper of Laos said in its recent article that the Vietnamese Government’s reform policy has brought prosperity for its people.
Vietnamese farmers’ dynamism can be attributed to the country’s high economic growth, the paper said.
The paper noted that the Vietnamese economy reached a growth rate of 8.4 percent last year, helping reduce poverty rate to 20 percent, from 58 percent in 1993. Due to its political and social stability Vietnam attracted increasing more foreign investors and tourists, the paper added.
