The team who had earlier lost to China in the first match went through as runners-up after trouncing India 3-0 in their last group game on Thursday.

The Vietnamese side faced some troubles in the first set against India, but finally won 27-25. They ended the second set quickly with a 25-10 victory, continuing their form to take the third 25-18.

In the quarter finals , the Vietnamese team will play strong opponents Chinese Taipei, who topped Group D.
