Tien Minh cruises to US Open semi-finals
(VOV) - Vietnamese badminton star Tien Minh on July 12 romped to a 2-0 victory over host opponent Sattawat Pongnairat, earning him a berth to the US Open Prix Gold 2013 semi-finals.
Entering the game, Minh looked comfortable after a July 11 win over Malaysia’s Tan Chun Seang, and he outplayed his host player in both sets on 21-10 and 21-10 within 30 minutes.
He will clash Japan’s 13th seed Kento Momota who surprisingly defeated Taiwan’s 2nd seed Yun Hu 2-1 in the quarter-finals.
Minh is expected to play in the final game, because he outclassed Momota at Vietnam Open 2012.
