Sudden fire breaks out on north-south train
VOV.VN - A cargo carriage on a train travelling from the south to the north was hit by a sudden fire on June 4.
The incident occurred at 1 a.m. when the SE8 train was passing through Hoa Phat ward of Da Nang. Upon noticing the outbreak of the fire, the driver quickly halted the train and moved to evacuate all passengers onboard.
Following this a total of five fire engines and dozens of firefighters were mobilised to the scene where it took them nearly four hours to bring the fire under control.
Fortunately no injuries were reported in the blaze, although tonnes of goods in the carriage were completely destroyed.
The incident is currently under investigation.
