HCM City spurs cooperation with US

(VOV) -Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee Le Thanh Hai and US Consul General in the city Rena Bitter at their July 3 meeting compared notes on some cooperation issues.

Hai highlighted the growing ties between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic ties 20 years ago and congratulated the Consul General on the 239th Independence Day of the US (July 4).

He suggested further strengthening relations among localities, besides cooperation at national level, adding that HCM City has always welcomed and provided favorable conditions for US investors.

Rena Bitter in turn greatly valued cooperative achievements in economics, climate change adaption, education and training.

Many US major technology companies have been invested in Vietnam, she added.
