Seminar relishes prospects for Vietnam, Russia relations

(VOV) - A seminar on November 21 in Moscow sponsored by the Far East Institute under Russia’s Science Academy focused on the promising prospects for improved Vietnam-Russia relations.

Speaking at the seminar, Far East Deputy Head Viatreslav Belokrenitskovo said the event played an important role in elevating Vietnam-Russia relations in the fields of economics, politics and culture. 

Vietnamese and Russian delegates lectured on various aspects of Vietnam-Russia relations, noting both the opportunities and challenges. They also reviewed the ups and downs of the historical relationship between the two countries.

They laid emphasis on carrying out more practical activities in fields on a host of fronts to comprehensively promote the relationship.

The seminar was held as a forerunner to the upcoming November 23-28 visit to Russia and Belarus by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
