PM Chinh meets Japanese Party representatives

VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held separate meetings on November 24 with Yamaguchi Natsuo, chief representative of Japan’s Komeito Party and Shii Kazuo, chairman of the Presidium of the Japanese Communist Party (JCP) Central Committee.

During the meeting with Natsuo, PM Chinh congratulated the Komeito Party on its success in the last election, whilst also applauding the role and position of the party as part of Japan’s political system.

He therefore thanked the Japanese party for its important contributions in reinforcing and expanding friendly co-operative ties between both sides in recent times, whilst also expressing his hope that the party's parliamentarians continue to support the Japanese Government's proposals relating to Vietnam.

Most notably, the Vietnamese Government and people consistently regard Japan as both a leading and reliable partner in the long-term, PM Chinh said.

He expressed his hope that the Komeito Party will continue to pay attention to promoting the extensive strategic partnership and exchanges between the two countries' friendship parliamentarian groups, along with other forms of people-to-people exchanges.

The Vietnamese Government chief also suggested that the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Komeito Party hold exchange activities and share their various experience, especially in areas such as administration, management, training, natural resources, transport, tourism, and improving human resources.

In response, the Komeito Party official hailed the Vietnamese Government leader’s official visit to Japan, noting that the trip will contribute to further strengthening the extensive strategic partnership across an array of fields.

He therefore affirmed that the Komeito Party has and will continue to support stronger relations, whilst also bolstering bilateral co-operation at regional and international forums.

The party remains supportive of Vietnamese expats living, studying, and working in the Far East nation, he stated.

In response, PM Chinh conveyed a message from National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue inviting Komeito parliamentarians to visit the country in the future.

Upon receiving Kazuo in his role as chairman of the JCP Central Committee, the Vietnamese PM conveyed greetings sent by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong to leaders of the JCP.

He briefed Kauzo on the successful holding of the 13th National Party Congress this February, which served to define the roadmap and specific measures aimed at building a prosperous nation. Indeed, the plan will strive to transform the country into a developing country with upper-middle income by 2030, whilst being a developed and high-income nation by 2045.

The Congress also affirmed unwavering Vietnamese external policies of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, co-operation, and development. This is along with diversification, multilateralism, active, and proactive international integration; and being a friend, a trustworthy partner, and a responsible member of the international community as a whole.

The Vietnamese leader therefore welcomed the various achievements of the JCP in the recent past, including the successful organization of its 28th Congress, thereby further playing a significant role in shaping Japanese politics.

He stated that he highly values trust and traditional solidarity between the two Parties, thereby underlining that the Party, State, and Vietnamese people will always remember, treasure, and be grateful for the sentiments and support from the JCP and people of Japan. This is particularly true during the struggle for national liberation in the past and in the process of country construction and safeguarding sovereignty at present.

The PM added that he is elated to see the  extensive strategic partnership grow and flourish across a variety of fields, especially as it shows a high level of political trust.

PM Chinh used the occasion to ask Kauzo and his party to continue to pay attention to, support, and promote co-operation and exchanges between the countries and Parties, as well as increasing the exchange of delegations and dialogue mechanisms. This can be done through a theoretical consultation between the CPV and JCP.

He requested that the Japanese side support the country to successfully carry out its socio-economic strategies and plans.

In response, Kauzo spoke glowingly of the official Japan visit by PM Chinh, while expressing belief that the trip will contribute to propelling the extensive strategic partnership forward across multiple fields.
