The Republic of Korea-funded Amco-Mibaek Vietnam Ltd Company broke the ground of the Song Gia resort in Thuy Nguyen district of northern Hai Phong port city on September 25.

The US$580 million complex, the city’s largest ever foreign-invested services and tourism project, includes parks, villas, a cultural village and a resort, covering a total of 637ha.

The resort, which is due to be completed in 2015, will be a major tourist attraction and will play a vital role in the city’s development plan.
