Head of the Macao SAR He Houhua made the pledge while receiving the newly accredited Vietnamese Consul General in Hong Kong and Macao, Pham Cao Phong, on February 4.

Mr Phong proposed that his host speed up the implementation of the agreements signed during a visit to Macao last year by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem.

He urged Macao to create more favourable conditions for the recruitment of Vietnamese guest workers and encourage local investors to do business in Vietnam.

The diplomat thanked He Houhua for his efforts in promoting cooperative relations between Macao and Vietnamese localities over recent past.
