Government leader chairs law building session

VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the Government’s monthly law-building session on September 22, with a major focus placed on responding to the current global situation, as well as policies and laws.

As part of his opening remarks, the Government chief said the global economy is undergoing numerous difficulties due to a growth slowdown coupled with soaring inflation. Central banks of the United States, the EU, the UK, and Japan have also moved to hike interest rates and appreciate their currencies, a factor which has substantially impacted other countries, including Vietnam.

Given this current situation, solutions must be devised in response to that situation, he said.
The session will also look into planning, which he described as being a major and hard issue.

Government members will also spend time to discuss the macro-economic situation in the remaining months of the year and into early 2023. This includes the realisation of macro-economic targets such as inflation control and public investment disbursement, a focus on monetary and fiscal policies and market governance, the development of different sectors, and the implementation of measures to ensure food security and developing agriculture.

The Cabinet will scrutinise the national general planning for the 2021 to 2030 period, COVID-19 prevention and control measures, proposals to revise notarisation and mineral laws, and making a law that amends and supplements some articles of the Pharmaceuticals Law.
