Toyota wants to expand dealers network in Vietnam

VOV.VN - Toyota Motor Corporation hopes to expand its dealers network in Vietnam to provide local consumers with quality products and services, said Hiroyuki Ueda, president of Toyota Motor Vietnam.

Despite difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-2021, Toyota Motor Vietnam developed an additional 12 dealers, raising the total number of dealers of its network in Vietnam to 46, Ueda said.

In addition, Toyota Vietnam has localized 324 more components, bringing the total number of localized items to 724 so far.

We aim to welcome more dealers and 200 more localised components this year, Hiroyuki Ueda said at a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between Toyota Motor Vietnam and the Vietnam Industry Agency on June 13.

Under the signed MoU, the two sides will cooperate in supporting Vietnamese businesses in the automobile supporting industry over 2022-2023.

Toyota Motor Vietnam will help select manufacturing enterprises and make a list of potential suppliers of auto parts to connect with automobile manufacturers and assemblers. in Vietnam.

It will arrange field trips to Toyota Vietnam factories and its parent company, support training courses, and assist local businesses improve their operations in the automotive supporting industry.

Through these activities, Toyota Vietnam hopes to further contribute to capacity building and expansion of its dealers network as well as to the development of the automotive supporting industry in Vietnam, stressed Ueda.
