China Southern Airlines increases flight frequency on Guangzhou-Khanh Hoa route
VOV.VN - China Southern Airlines has announced that it will increase the frequency of flights between Guangzhou province (China) and Khanh Hoa province, a major tourist destination in Vietnam’s southcentral coastal region, in a bid to meet the travel demand between the two countries.
At present, China Southern Airlines is running three flights a week on the Guangzhou-Khanh Hoa route on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. It is anticipated to operate a flight on the route every day as of October 29.
With every-day flights up and running starting this winter, China Southern Airlines expects to help travel agencies arrange tours bringing more Chinese tourists to Khanh Hoa, as well as bringing people of Khanh Hoa and neighbouring provinces to China.
China Southern Airlines earlier re-operated its air route connecting Guangzhou and Cam Ranh in Khanh Hoa on September 29 following the COVID-19 containment. The first flight brought a total of 130 Chinese travelers to the Vietnamese locality.
China Southern Airlines is the first Chinese commercial airline which has reopened flights to Khanh Hoa in the post-pandemic period.
Khanh Hoa welcomed a total of 4.25 million domestic holidaymakers and 1.45 million foreign travelers over the past nine months. It aims to receive 4.3 million domestic holidaymakers and 4.5 million foreign travelers by 2025.
