MasterChef New Zealand winner shows off cooking skills in Hanoi

(VOV) - Lecturers and students at Hanoi Tourism College (HTC) on May 5 had a chance to enjoy a special dessert prepared by MasterChef New Zealand 2011 winner, Nadia Lim.

While showcasing her culinary skills, Lim also helped them prepare their own dishes.

She said this dessert has a simple recipe and everyone can make it.

She added that cuisine and tourism are closely linked to each other and hoped that with this connectivity, the Vietnamese people will gain a better understanding about New Zealand’s land, people and cuisine.

The exchange between the MasterChef New Zealand winner and Hanoi students of tourism was an activity within the programme to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-New Zealand diplomatic ties.

During her stay in Hanoi and HCM City from May 4-8, Lim will visit Mai Am Ba Chieu, a charity organisation in HCM City to learn about Vietnamese cuisine, attend two TV shows on gastronomy and be a special guest at an event to raise fund for the Blue Dragon Foundation.
