Ngoc Thao joins opening activity of Miss Grand International
VOV.VN - As the nation’s representative at Miss Grand International, Ngoc Thao has participated in the first activity of the pageant after completing a 14-day isolation period in order to prevent the potential spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) fight.
The Vietnamese beauty took part in a photoshoot with 63 other contestants globally, with each contestant given five minutes to snap the best photo possible.
After these profile photos are published, audiences will then vote for their favourite contestant.
The local girl selected an outfit by designer Linh San in the first competition, with the colourful outfit sending a message of support for the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.
Her performance during the photoshoot received plenty of praise during the event.
This year’s competition marks the eighth version of the Miss Grand International pageant, with the grand final of the beauty contest scheduled to be held in the Thai capital of Bangkok on March 27.
The current winner of the Miss Grand International pageant is Valentina Figuera of Venezuela.
Ngoc Thao, 21, stands at a height of 1.74 metres tall and measures 81-61-95. The native of Ho Chi Minh City claimed the title of second runner-up during the Miss Vietnam 2020 pageant, thereby earning the chance to represent the country at the Miss Grand International pageant this year.
