VOV launches “Let's sing Vietnam” contest
VOV.VN - Amateur and professional composers at home and abroad will be given the chance to compete in the “Let's sing Vietnam” song contest following its launch by Voice of Vietnam (VOV).
The aim of the contest is to celebrate the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, whilst simultaneously promoting a positive image of both the country and its people.
Furthermore, the competition will welcome the entry of high-quality songs whilst encouraging composition activities which praise the various innovative achievements of the nation.
The theme of the songs will focus on praising the Party, Uncle Ho, love citizens have for the homeland, along with numerous achievements in the cause of national construction and defence. Indeed, entries can be from any musical genre, including pop, rock, dance, rap, and indie, with songs permitted to be performed by solo singers, groups, or choirs.
Contestants who choose to enter can submit their songs in both Vietnamese or English, depending on their preference.
Each composer is allowed to send in a maximum of two songs, with entries being submitted with written scores, preferably alongside a CD/DVD/Audio disc or audiovisual files.
The ultimate winner of the contest will receive a special prize worth VND100 million. There will also be one first prize worth VND50 million on offer, along with two second prizes worth VND25 million each, three third prizes worth VND15 million each, and eight consolation prizes worth VND5 million each.
Moving forward, the awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on August 19.
