Speaking at the launching ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on October 27, Director of the Department of Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children, Vu Minh Dao highly appreciated all the effort of Google to launch YouTube Kids in Vietnam. The YouTube Kids app with kids-friendly content is also designed to give parents better control over the things they want their kids to see and help their kids understand the good and bad things.
The app has many topics of arts, handicraft, music, sport, study and more.
Parents can set their own passcode and restrict certain videos and channels. They can also turn off the search function, limit their kids’ screen time and the things their child is permitted to search on the app.
The app is available in more than 42 countries and has reached over 70 billion views with 14 million views in a week. It is available for free on Google Play and the Apple App Store. YouTube Kids is one of the five best apps for children.
