Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh offered greetings to State Counsellor and Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and Minister of International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin on the occasion.

Vietnam and Myanmar established diplomatic ties on May 28, 1975 and they upgraded their relations to a comprehensive cooperative partnership during a State visit to Myanmar by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in 2017.
