Leaders extend Independence Day greetings to Myanmar
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong on January 3 sent greetings to President of Myanmar U Win Myint on the 71st anniversary of Independence Day of Myanmar (1948-2019).
On the day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a congratulatory message to State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh offered greetings to State Counsellor and Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and Minister of International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin on the occasion.
Vietnam and Myanmar established diplomatic ties on May 28, 1975 and they upgraded their relations to a comprehensive cooperative partnership during a State visit to Myanmar by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in 2017.
