Ty spoke highly of the working visit by General Eiji Kimizuka and his delegation, noting that over the past years, defence cooperation between the two countries has been implemented effectively in many areas, thus strengthening bilateral friendship.
General Eiji Kimizuka said the visit has helped him learn more about Vietnam’s history, people and armed forces.
Earlier, during the talks with Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, the two sides informed each other of armed forces building in their respective countries and compared notes on regional and international issues.
They also introduced each other to the structure of their ground forces and defence policies and proposed measures to boost the two ground forces’ ties in the future.
