US President to pay State visit to Vietnam

VOV.VN - US President Donald Trump will make a State visit to Vietnam from November 11-12, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 6.

The visit is made at the invitation of Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang.
Vietnam and the US established diplomatic ties on July 12, 1995.

Bilateral relations have progressed across a variety of fields since both nations established a comprehensive partnership in July 2013 on the basis of respect for each other’s territorial integrity, political regime and development path, for the sake of their own interests and for regional peace, stability and development cooperation.

Over the past years, the US has become one of the leading trade partners of Vietnam with two-way trade posting an annual growth rate of 20%.
