In 2017, two-way trade reached US$121.3 billion, up 23.3 percent year on year, he noted.
At the same time, the relationship between Vietnam and China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has also been growing, especially in economy, trade and investment.
Hong Kong is now the sixth largest trade partner of Vietnam with 1,257 projects worth US$17.6 billion.
Huan also expressed his belief that the ties between Vietnam and China will continue to thrive, benefiting people of both countries and contributing to peace and stability in the region.
For his part, Xie Feng said that the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, having overcome ups and downs, has been expanded. In recent years, with joint efforts of both sides, the bilateral ties have grown practically, bringing interest for the people of both sides, promoting the prosperity of each country, and contributing to peace, stability in the region and the world, he said.
