NA relieves Transport minister, gov’t inspector general of their posts

VOV.VN - The National Assembly (NA) on October 25 relieved Truong Quang Nghia of the post of Minister of Transport and Phan Van Sau of the post of Government Inspector General as part of the legislature's ongoing fourth session in Hanoi.

NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan hailed the two officials' efforts to fulfill their assigned tasks in their posts they held. 

She said she hopes that in their new positions, Truong Quang Nghia, now Secretary of the Da Nang municipal Party Committee, and Phan Van Sau, now Secretary of the Soc Trang provincial Party Committee, will worker harder together with  local authorities and people to successfully perform their duties.

465 of the NA deputies (up to 94.7%) voted for the relief of Truong Quang Nghia while 463 of the lawmakers (94.3 percent) backed the relief of Phan Van Sau.

The same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc suggested the NA select Secretary of the Soc Trang Party Committee Nguyen Van The as Minister of Transport, and Secretary of the Bac Lieu provincial Party Committee Le Minh Khai as Government Inspector General.
NA deputies are set to vote on the proposed appointments on October 26 morning.
