ABB, a leading power and automation technology group, opened a new plant for manufacturing power products in Tien Son Industrial Zone in the northern province of Bac Ninh on March 11.
The US$30 million plant is part of ABB’s plan to build production capacity in fast-growing markets with the aim of helping Vietnam meet the growing demand for electricity while maintaining grid reliability.
The Chief of ABB’s Power Products division, Bernhard Jucker, said this new power plant is expected to employ more than 100 workers.
