Conference discusses measures to boost exports to China

VOV.VN - The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will coordinate with Quang Ninh province to organize a conference in Mong Cai City between November 2 and 3 to discuss measures to bolster agro-forestry- fishery exports to China according to a legal channel.

Ka Long Border Gate
The conference aims to promote closer ties between Vietnam’s Quang Ninh province and China’s Guangxi province on the economic corridor that stretches between Kunming, Lao Cai, Hanoi, Haiphong and Quang Ninh.

Businesses in attendance will hope to gain information to help deal with trade barriers and will propose new measures to further boost border trade activities via the border in Quang Ninh. Businesses which carry out trade activities in the Chinese market will also point to their difficulties when exporting agro-forestry- fishery products to the market.

A Memoranda of understanding (MoU) on supporting imports and exports of agricultural products between Quang Ninh’s Mong Cai City and Guangxi’s Dongxing City as well as MoUs on import and export collaboration between Vietnamese and Chinese businesses will be signed within the framework of the conference.

In addition to this, an opening ceremony of Quang Ninh’s “One Commune One Product” (OCOP) as well as agri-forestry-fishery products from other cities will take place on November 2 at the Ka Long Border Gate in Mong Cai City.
