Groups of products with over US$10 bil export value in 2017

VOV.VN - Five groups of export items with value reaching more than US$10 billion in 2017 include telephones, computers, garments and textiles, footwear and machinery. 

  1. According to latest statistics from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the country’s total export turnover in 2017 surged 21.1% to nearly US$214 billion against last year.

  1. Telephone and components continue to take the lead 

Garment and textile export ranks second with turnover reaching US$25.93 billion, up 8.8%

  1. Computers, electronic products and components secure the third place with turnover of US$25.88 billion, up 36.5%.

  1. Footwear places the fourth position with an estimated turnover of US$14.64 billion, up 12.6%. 

  1. Machinery, equipment and spare parts finish the fifth place, grossing a turnover of US$12.79 billion, up 26.4%.
  1. The five major groups earn a revenue of US$124.33 billion, equivalent to nearly 58.2% of the country’s total export turnover.
