Ha Tinh province’s exports on sharp rise
VOV.VN - The central province of Ha Tinh generated US$17.24 million from exports in October, bringing the total export revenue in 10 months to US$194.36 million, up 97.3% against the same period last year and reaching 70% of this year’s plan, said a provincial official.
Other traditional products all obtained quite high export growth. They include tea (up 27.94% to US$2.61 million), seafood (up 24.28% to US$2.17 million), fibres (up 22.8% to 7.48 million) and garment (up 91% to US$2.19 million). Most of products from Ha Tinh were exported to Southeast Asian countries (steel), China (fibres), the Middle East (tea), and Japan (seafood and garment).
Among key export products, wood chips dropped 6% to just US$32.07 million. The fall in exports of wood chips can be attributed to Chinese businesses which stopped importing as previously, the export product was totally depended on the Chinese market. However, exports of agricultural products are on an upward trajectory.
