Hanoi’s FDI nearly triples in 10 months
VOV.VN - Hanoi has attracted US$6.3 billion of foreign direct investment (FDI) capital during the first 10 months of this year, 2.8 times higher than the same period last year, according to Nguyen Manh Quynh, director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment.
In 10 months, the capital city had 21,169 newly-established firms with a combined registered capital of VND230 trillion, up 3% in volume and 40% in registered capital compared to the same period in 2017.
Despite this, as many as 1,309 businesses were dissolved whilst 5,587 businesses stopped operation. However, 2,807 businesses did resume their operation. Overall, Hanoi currently has 251,065 businesses.
