HanoiTex draws 120 exhibitors from 12 countries

VOV.VN - Nearly 120 exhibitors from 12 countries and territories are showcasing their products at the Hanoi Textile and Garment Industry Expo (HANOITEX) which opened at the International Centre for Exhibition on Tran Hung Dao Street, Hanoi on September 19.

On display across the more than 6,000sq.m of exhibition space are different kinds of fabrics, modern textile-garment machinery and equipment, dyeing equipment and chemical dyes, and a wide variety of materials and accessories.

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Cao Quoc Hung said the fourth industrial revolution is having a great influence on the garment businesses, forcing them to adapt and invest in new equipment and human resources. It is of paramount importance that they stay abreast of the latest developments in technology and equipment and train personnel to operate the new machinery.

HanoiTex is one of the practical support activities provided for the garment and textile sector as it helps businesses to research and purchase a range of advanced technologies from developed countries. The event also presents an opportunity for domestic and foreign organizations and businesses to seek partners, promote their brands, expand markets and build strategies for long-term investment and cooperation, he said.

On the sidelines of the event, which will run until September 21, there will be seminars on building a fibre-textile-garment connectivity chain and improving the quality of workforce for the garment sector to meet the demand of the industrial revolution 4.0.
