Uber and Grab requested to use logos on vehicles

The Ministry of Transport has requested Uber and Grab use their logo on cars so that they can be recognisable.

The move followed begging by the Hanoi Taxi Association which complained about being uncompetitive in relation to the app-based taxi services.

The Ministry of Transport has requested Uber and Grab use their logo on cars so that they can be recognizable.

According to the Ministry of Transport, Uber and Grab have to list their phone numbers, names and logo on the taxi body.

The Ministry of Transport has asked localities where Uber and Grab are operating in to supervise the regulation implementation.

The Ministry of Transport has also considered requiring Uber and Grab drivers to use uniform and wear cards.

Following the Hanoi Taxi Association’s opinion about the rise of app-based taxi number, the ministry has proposed the temporary halt of granting badges for this kind of taxi service.

Under the Ministry of Transport’s instruction, Uber and Grab will also have to publicise their prices like traditional taxi and coach services.
