Vietnam, China set up “golden” logistics corridor
Vietnam and China are strengthening railway cooperation, the Nanning Railway Bureau at the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region affirmed on December 23.
The bureau said at the 41st Vietnam-China border railway conference in mid-December, the normalisation of cross-border container trains between Nanning and Hanoi was included in the new protocol.
The Nanning Railway Bureau said within only 20 days since its launch, the China-Europe container train has conducted four trips from Hanoi to Pingxiang with a total volume of 1,880 tonnes, demonstrating the two countries’ efforts to set up a “golden” bilateral logistics corridor.
The Fangchenggang-Dongxing railway project was launched on December 18. Once completed, Guangxi province will have three border railway routes to the China-Vietnam border, facilitating connectivity between the two countries.
