Business outlets in Hanoi remain shut amid COVID-19 fears

VOV.VN - A large number of businesses in the capital remain closed or have put up notices to advertise their premises for rent, despite the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic being largely brought under control in recent times.
This building had been a spa serving numerous foreigners but was forced to close due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Plenty of properties on Ta Hien street in the Old Quarter are looking for renters.
Once a bustling location, Hang Giay street sees the closure of several business outlets as renters return the buildings to landlords due to a serious lack of customers.
An advantageous location situated on Hang Buom, one of the busiest trading streets in Hanoi, currently has no renter.
A very nice spot at No. 1 Hang Ma, another busiest trading street in Hanoi, remains shut down.
This location spans an area of 50 square metres. At present the rental price has been halved to VND20 million per month in comparison to the pre-COVID-19 period.
A notice advertises a house for rent on Hang Ruoi street.
A notice on this property says it is for rent, but the landlord has so far failed to find a renter.
Some business outlets are forced to shut on Hang Bong, a busiest trading street in Hanoi.
Similarly, business is in the doldrums throughout Hang Gai street which is famous for hand-made products as souvenirs for tourists.
