Hanoians prepare flower offerings on 15th day of first lunar month

VOV.VN - Many of the capital’s residents have been busy preparing peach branches and grapefruit flowers to offer to their ancestors on the 15th day of the first lunar month, which falls on February 26 this year.
Wild pear branches are now one of the most popular items among customers in Hanoi following the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet.
Numerous people rush to Lac Long Quan road each day in order to purchase wild pear branches which cost between hundreds of thousands of VND and several million of VND.
Situated in Tay Ho district, Quang An flower market is packed full of buyers who admire the pure beauty of the flowers due to their charming nature.
One of the leading items that local people offer to ancestors after Tet are peach branches.
The price of peach branches hovers between VND35,000 and VND40,000 each, with the price depending on their size.
Customers select elegant peach branches which can be used either for decoration or for worship.
Grapefruit flowers are among the top choices for buyers on the 15th day of the first lunar month.
Their flavour proves highly attractive for many local customers.
These grapefruit flowers are worth between VND120,000 and VND350,000 per kg.
