VOV.VN - A special art programme took place at Hanoi’s My Dinh National Stadium on February 2 to celebrate the success of the recently-concluded 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The art programme themed ‘Aspiration – Shining’ is co-hosted by the Party Central Committee’s Information and Education Commission, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi People’s Committee and Vietnam Television.

Present at the function are Politburo and Party Central Committee members representing the Party, State, Government, National Assembly, Fatherland Front, as well as leaders of various ministries and agencies in Hanoi.

The National Party Congress taking place from January 26 to February 1 has elected a new Party Central Committee, the executive body of the ruling party comprising 200 members. It has also elected the 18-member Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the party.

The congress has adopted a resolution charting a new course for Vietnam’s development in the coming years. According to the resolution, Vietnam aims to become a socialist-oriented developed nation by the mid-21st century.

The congress has also outlined major targets for national socio-economic development for 2021-2025, aiming to achieve an annual average GDP growth rate of 6.5-7% during the period.
