The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) organised a procession of two Jade Buddha Statues and a sari at Quan Su Pagoda in Hanoi on June12.

The gifts were presented by the World Association of Buddhists and the Executive Committee of Myanmar’s Shwedagon Pagoda to Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung during his visit to Myanmar in April.

Mr Dung has decided to give the meaningful gifts to the VBS.

Venerable Thich Minh Tien, Deputy Head of the Vietnamese Buddhist Church’s Central Committee said that the event has contributed to raising Vietnam Buddhism’s status in the world.
