Cambodian Acting Senate President congratulates newly-elected Vietnamese NA Chairman

VOV.VN - Acting President of the Cambodian Senate Sim Ka sent a congratulatory letter to Politburo member Vuong Dinh Hue on April 2 following his successful election to the post of Chairman of Vietnam’s National Assembly (NA) and National Election Council.

“On behalf of members of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I would like to express my delight and give you my warmest greetings as you were elected as Chairman of the National Assembly and the National Election Council of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the 14th legislature’s 11th session on March 31, 2021,” Acting Senate President Ka wrote.

He set out to assure his willingness to co-operate closely with the Vietnamese NA and its new Chairman for the purpose of progress and prosperity between the two neighbouring countries and their respective citizens. This will be done whilst continuing to nurture the strong relationship between legislative agencies, along with co-operating and supporting each other in both the regional and global arena.

Hue, who is also Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, won the approval votes of all 473 deputies who were present at the sitting, equal to 98.54% of all NA deputies at the 11th sitting of the 14th legislature.
