117 Vietnamese students get Samsung Korean Scholarships

VOV.VN - 117 third and fourth-year students from six universities in Hanoi, Hue, Danang, and Da Lat will receive Samsung Korean Scholarships funded by Samsung Vietnam.

The total grant will be worth VND6 billion, including monthly allowances, tuition fees, and examination fees for the Test of Proficiency in Korea (TOPIK) certificates. Each scholarship for fourth-year students will be close to VND36 million, and nearly VND71 million for third-year students.

Samsung and six universities also signed a memorandum of understanding to support developing and improving Korean language training covering three major activities: granting scholarships, financing universities’ development funds, and running internship programs for students.

The six universities involved are University of Language and International Studies (under Hanoi National University), University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Hanoi National University), Hanoi University, University of Foreign Languages (Hue University), University of Foreign Languages (Da Nang University), and Da Lat University.
