127th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh celebrated

VOV.VN - A broad array of activities have been held nationwide to mark the 127th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh.

The Ho Chi Minh City People Committee launched a tree planting campaign on May 18 to commemorate Uncle Ho. Following a ceremony at the National Cultural History Park, 300 trees were planted.

Tran Van Bay, Chairman of the District 9 People’s Committee, said the city intends to plant 1 million trees this year, adding that “Tree planting is a practical way to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s example.”

Sen Village Festival 2017 opened on May 7 in Kim Lien commune, Nghe An province, the homeland of Ho Chi Minh.

On this occasion, the Information and Communications Publishing House released a collection of historical documents about Ho Chi Minh. The collection, based on President Ho Chi Minh’s book “Changing ways of working”.

Another book, titled “Role models in following President Ho Chi Minh’s example”, summarizes 168 role models that have followed Uncle Ho’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle.
