Border guard forces in Cao Bang seize 323 kg of illegal firecrackers

VOV.VN -Two Vietnamese women were arrested for smuggling a huge amount of firecrackers from China to Vietnam by border guards in Cao Bang province on September 4.

Border guards in Cao Bang province and police in Trung Khanh district caught the two suspects red-handed at 21:00 on September 4 as they were in the process of transporting 323 kg of illegal firecrackers in Hang Thoang-Gioc Ma hamlet, Dam Thuy commune.

Once arrested, the suspects were identified as Trieu Thi Nho, 42, and Dam Thi The, 31, both of Dong Mon hamlet, Chi Vien commune, Trung Lhanh province.

A further investigation in the case is currently underway.
