VOV.VN - Vietnam reported the discovery of six further imported COVID-19 cases over the past 12 hours to 6:00 pm on April 26, bringing the nation’s infection tally to 2,852, according to the Ministry of Health.

Among the new patients, there are two foreigners from the UK entering to Hanoi-based Noi Bai Airport on flight QR976 and are quarantined immediately upon arrival in Hanoi.

The remaining four Vietnamese returnees came from Russia, the Republic of Korea and the UAE. They are now undergoing COVID-19 treatment at local hospitals after they were detected to be positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Among active patients, a total of 48 patients have tested negative for the virus, with most of them giving negative results for many times.

As many as 41,626 people are being isolated for medical monitoring across the nation.

So far, Vietnam has registered 2,516 recoveries from the coronavirus disease since the pandemic hit the nation in February 2020.
