Four arrested after 700kg of drugs seized in Nghe An

VOV.VN - Four Vietnamese men have been arrested by police forces in Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces after being caught illegally smuggling drugs from Laos on April 15.

According to initial reports, the drug traffickers were caught red-handed by police as the group were in the process of transporting drugs from a house in alley 161, Phung Chi Kien road, Ha Huy Tap ward, Vinh city.

700kg of drugs are seized by the police

At the scene, police were able to confiscate a car, registered 37N-5194, which they later discovered contained in 30 hidden boxes of drugs.

A further investigation into the case is currently underway.
