Japan’s Aichi prefecture sees creation of Overseas Vietnamese Association
VOV.VN - A ceremony to unveil the establishment of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Aichi prefecture, Nagoya, Japan, was held on March 10.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Vu Hong Nam underscored the importance of the establishment of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Aichi prefecture for Vietnamese nationals in giving mutual assistance and creating a positive impression of the nation on Japanese people.
Making up the executive board of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Aichi prefecture for the 2019-2023 tenure will include 11 people in total. President and Secretary of the executive board will be Mr Le Anh Son and Mr Tran Huynh Ngoc, respectively.
The purpose of establishing the association is to build a united, strong, and integrated Vietnamese community through sharing experience, providing mutual assistance, and by organizing a wide range of activities to serve as a cultural bridge between Japan and Vietnam.
The number of Vietnamese people in Japan has increased remarkably in recent years, totaling more than 300,000 so far, with many going on to make active contributions to Japan.
Aichi prefecture is the locality with the second most Vietnamese people in Japan, after Tokyo. The association is expected to help Vietnamese people in Japan’s central region integrate, strengthen solidarity to contribute to the economic development in the homeland, and develop closer ties between the two countries.
